Littoral Educational Consults, a subsidiary of Adetunji Group of Schools, hosted the grand finale of the Littoral Quiz and Debates Competition on May 27, 2024, at Socrates College in honor of Children's Day. The event was graced by special dignitaries, including NAPPS officials, parents, and other important stakeholders. The competition, which began two months ago, featured over 25 schools from Ilorin and its vicinity vying for top honors. Senior secondary school students competed in the quiz category, while primary school students engaged in debate competitions. After fierce battles from the preliminary rounds to the finals, broadcasted live on SBS FM 96.9, the final eight schools emerged—four for the quiz and four for the debate. The quiz finalists were Prominent Crescent High School, Socrates College, Olayemi Comprehensive College, and Muhammed Kamaldeen College. For the debate competition, the finalists included Kings Delight School, Socrates Model College, AZ Glorious School, and King Toye School. Each school was represented by three participants in the quiz competition, with questions covering seven subjects: English, Mathematics, Economics, Government, Physics, Chemistry, and Accounting. The debate teams, consisting of two speakers each, tackled the topic "Removal of Fuel Subsidy in Nigeria: A Curse or a Blessing." Amid the competitions were vibrant performances, including dances, talent shows, and poetry recitations. In the end, Socrates College clinched first place in the quiz competition, followed by Prominent Crescent High School in second, and Olayemi Comprehensive College in third. In the debate category, Socrates Model College emerged victorious, AZ Glorious School secured second place, and Kings Delight School took third.
