Socrates College recently embarked on an exciting excursion to Owu Falls 8 years after our last visit. The falls which is the highest and most breathtaking natural waterfall in West Africa, is situated in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. The group, consisting of 68 students and 7 staff members, including the school proprietor, had a memorable encounter with nature. Upon reaching the entrance, the team was warmly welcomed by Oba Owa Kajola, and the school details were recorded in the visitor books. The adventure kicked off with a refreshing walk to the falls, providing opportunities to spot various creatures like birds, monkeys, and reptiles, accompanied by lively music to energize the trek. Just 200 meters before reaching the falls, the weather and atmosphere transformed, signaling the proximity of something beautiful. The proprietor and staff ensured safety by checking the falls first before allowing the students to join the excitement. The students relished the experience, indulging in delicious food and drinks while enjoying the refreshing natural cascade. Owu Falls is enveloped by a stunning natural ambiance and hills, creating a memorable sightseeing experience. The waterfall features ice-cold water, captivating rocky formations, walkways, and evergreen surroundings. Despite returning home late, the students expressed their desire to revisit soon, captivated by the allure of Owu Falls. Abdullahi Awwal PR Unit
